DDB (Double Degassed Briquettes)

DDB (Double Degassed Briquettes) high purity degassed chromium, is generally used for the production of high quality superalloys made by Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM), often supplemented by refining operations in electro-flux remelting or Electroslag Remelting (ESR) or Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR).
DDB is mainly used for the production of nickel or cobalt-based superalloys for critical applications, particularly in the following industries:
– Civil and military aeronautics
– Land-based gas turbines
– Automotive
– High-tech industry
Originally patented by DCX Chrome – Delachaux.
